Non-Ferrous Trader
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Non-Ferrous Trader to join our team, focusing on trading non-ferrous metals. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both English and Mandarin, with a solid understanding of the trading industry and the ability to analyze market trends and financial reports. This role involves frequent late-night dealings due to the international nature of our business, particularly with Chinese suppliers.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Non-Ferrous Trader to join our team, focusing on trading non-ferrous metals. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both English and Mandarin, with a solid understanding of the trading industry and the ability to analyze market trends and financial reports. This role involves frequent late-night dealings due to the international nature of our business, particularly with Chinese suppliers.
Eligibility: Open to Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute trading activities within the non-ferrous metals sector, including sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing deals with suppliers and buyers.
- Liaise directly with Chinese suppliers to ensure smooth and timely transactions. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for effective communication.
- Perform financial analysis and interpret reports to guide trading decisions. A basic understanding of accounting is required.
- Prepare and maintain trading documentation, including contracts, invoices, and shipping documents, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct market analysis to identify and capitalize on new trading opportunities and trends within the non-ferrous metals market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
- Be available for late-night trading activities and communications with international suppliers and clients, particularly those based in different time zones.
Key Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is mandatory for effective communication with Chinese suppliers.
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in trading, specifically within the non-ferrous metals industry, is required.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
