Repair Development Engineer/Manager
An established multinational company in the Aerospace Industry is currently seeking for an enthusiastic Repair Development Engineer/Manager to join their team here in Singapore. This company is an expert and is one of the few companies in the region offering repair & fabrication of cabin floor panels, cargo compartment floor, sidewall & ceiling panels.
About the Role:
As the Repair Development Engineer/Manager, you will work closely with operations to evaluate, review and ensure compliance in the workshop’s production and repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review repair work scope report for correct repair callout
- Review BOM list to ensure correct spares and consumables procurement
- Review and approve repair traveller prior to repair work
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure proper tooling available in workshop
- Development of Part-21 product engineering work for DOA approval
- Development of Part-145 repair engineering work for repair capabilities
- Development of production and repair shopfloor workflow with Operations
- Review production and repair work cycle time with Operations for optimum manpower deployment
- Conduct First Article development, evaluation and qualification for new product and new repair capabilities
- Filing of engineering development work packages
- Work closely with Operations to ensure compliance in workshop for proper tooling availability, process improvement, workshop layout optimization and manpower planning.
- Ad-hoc assignments
To succeed in this role, you must have strong aerospace engineering knowledge and be willing to be a hands-on manager.
Key Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant Diploma
- Proficient in English language
- CAAS M10 or L11 or L12 (preferred)
- Knowledge of CAAS, EASA, FAA regulations
- Part-21 manufacturing and/or Part-145 MRO experience
- Experience in aircraft interior work (preferred, not mandatory)
- In-depth knowledge in DOA for Part-21 manufacturing engineering development work
- In-depth Knowledge in Part-145 repair development work
- Knowledge for SRM, AMM, CMM and technical data interpretation
- Integrity to ensure safety compliance to aviation requirements
- Team player
