SALES MANAGER (Carbon Black)

 

A new headcount for Sales Manager has just been created with our client in the chemical manufacturing industry specializing in carbon black here in Singapore. This is due to the business expansion. This is a regional role covering two (2) countries. 

 

About the Sales Manager Role:

 

In this role, your main responsibility is to drive sales growth for specific product category within both existing and new clients. You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Proactively engage with customers through visits and calls to understand their needs, address inquiries, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. 
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for sales and marketing initiatives to achieve company goals and meet sales targets effectively. 
  • Manage customer portfolios by overseeing product documentation, certificates, samples, pricing negotiations, delivery schedules, shipments, and payment terms to ensure seamless transactions and customer satisfaction. 
  • Calculate costs accurately and prepare competitive price quotations to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs and market standards. 
  • Forecast sales trends, prepare budgets, and oversee procurement, shipments, and inventory management to align with sales objectives and financial targets. 
  • Issue cargo insurance certificates and coordinate timely resolution of customer claims and inquiries to uphold service quality and customer satisfaction. 

 

To be successful in this role, you need to be a high calibre sales professional within the chemical (printing ink) industry. 

 

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or  Degree in Chemical, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in carbon black industry, chemical, heavy industry or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independentlyn and open for travelling
