A Deputy Site Manager position is available from the medical device division of a major Japanese manufacturer for a local hire in Hong Kong.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the oncology system installed and running in a hospital in Hong Kong, leading the "Service and Maintenance Organization" (SMO) team, and acting as a liaison between the customer and internal teams.

The detailed job description is the following
- Lead and direct the activities of the SMO.
- Plan and oversee the activities of the SMO to ensure appropriate day-to-day operations and maintenance services are provided.
- Selecting and coordinating activities to be undertaken by vendors, including procurement and outsourcing
- Maintain technical and administrative records and documentation
- Responds to customer service support requests and emergencies (24/7 on-call, not always there for you)
- Communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, Hitachi East Asia, Hitachi High-Tech (Japan side) and related departments.
- Regular reporting of SMO activities to customers and status reports during emergency response / after completion of actions.
- PBT system commissioning, inspection, adjustment and troubleshooting.
- Oversee compliance with the standards and requirements of Hong Kong legislation/Hitachi and HKSH internal regulations in the operation of the system.
- Implement new technologies, products and processes in day-to-day operations and create PDCA cycles.
Fostering a deep understanding of the PBT system.
* Provide with good amount of on-the-job training during daily maintenance tasks

JOB REQUIREMENTS
● Japanese: Business level (as almost all stakeholders in the relevant departments within the company are Japanese)
● English: Daily usage level (as communication with customers, members and vendors is often conducted in English)
● Experience with Field Support Engineer in medical equipment, managing members or in a managerial position
● Used Microsoft Office before
● Have no problem communicating independently in a multinational environment
● Understand that there is a non-negligible possibility of shift work including weekends and public holidays and on-call support
OTHER INFORMATIONS
Working days: Monday - Friday
Working hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
※ Depending on the situation, there is a possibility of working on Saturdays and Sundays.
※ Shift work and weekend work will be relatively frequent during OJT from the start of your employment until the end of your probationary period → Able to rest on weekdays instead
Salary Range: HKD 52,000 + 15% of 12x monthly base salary as performance bonus

You will be promoted to Site Manager in about 6 months to 1 year after you join the company.
→ A salary increase to around HKD 60,000 is under consideration after the promotion
