About the Director of Operations Role: 
As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our filter manufacturing facilities and supply chain across the region. You will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position reports to the General Manager, APAC and requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced and competitive industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the manufacturing operations in Singapore, including production, quality, materials management, warehouse, EHS, and maintenance. Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.
  • Ensure that all manufactured products meet or exceed the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement robust quality control processes and conduct regular audits to maintain product integrity.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across all operational functions. Identify areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement. Lead and support cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the operational strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives. Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners. Streamline the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products while minimizing costs.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets for the Singapore facility. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control expenditures.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and KPIs to the executive team. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and process improvement efforts.
  • Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team. Foster a collaborative and engaging work environment that encourages professional growth and career advancement.
  • Work closely with the parent company in the USA on all operational matters.

     

To be successful as a Director of Operations, focus on optimizing efficiency through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. Additionally, ensure robust quality control, effective supply chain management, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic business goals.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control systems.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conversant in continuous improvement methodologies such as lean or Six Sigma with demonstrated ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
