Sales Manager - Shipping

Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the Maritime sector market in Singapore and SEA.
- Focus on aftermarket products and services (maintenance, servicing).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ship owners, ship managers, and shipyards.
- Leverage existing contacts with leading shipping companies in Singapore (e.g., Anglo Eastern, MOL, BSM, OSM Thome, CMA CGM).
- Meet or exceed an average annual sales revenue target of approximately GBP 2.25 million per manager.
- Focus on ship owners and managers, with one position dedicated to shipyards.
- Cover key markets in SEA, including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, etc.
- Engage with customers across the region to expand the company’s footprint.
- Identify and source potential clients from direct competitors and customers.
- Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to strategically position our offerings.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales and other internal teams to align on strategies and ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with customer service representatives (where applicable) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a motivated and results-driven sales professional with a passion for the maritime industry
Key requirements:
- Strong understanding of the Singapore Maritime sector, particularly in shipping and seagoing experiences.
- Technical background in shipping is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Existing relationships with key shipping companies and decision-makers in SEA.
- Emphasis on contacts with Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents.
- Proven track record of successfully hunting new business opportunities and closing deals.
- Ability to proactively identify and pursue potential clients within the maritime industry.
- Previous experience working in a shipyard or with shipyards will be highly advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in growing and managing markets within the maritime sector.
