JAC is partnering with an established company in the Trading industry. As part of its expansion, they are looking for a Finance Controller to join the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily accounting operation team for the SEA regions
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and proposing actionable solutions to optimize financial results.
- Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads to track and manage budgets, expenses, and variances.
- Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to stakeholders, including management, board of directors, and investors.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis, cost management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, and proactively assess their impact on the company's financial operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. ISCA or CPA/CMA qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role for at least 8 years in Trading industry
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
