About the Sales Manager Role: 
A global equipment manufacturer is looking for Sales Manager. The candidate is responsible for setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve them, managing client relationships, analyzing market trends, forecasting sales, and collaborating with other departments to optimize business performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall gross margin profitability for the business unit in Asia Pacific.
  • Influence and contribute to regional sales & marketing strategies.
  • Set and execute annual revenue and gross profit plans.
  • Establish sales quotas for region, countries, and territories.
  • Develop & implement sales programs and activity plans.
  • Possess strong understanding of economic indicators, competitors, and product positioning.
  • Ensure competitiveness within the market.
  • Create and manage a partnership program to support the growth in Southeast Asia.
  • Optimize sales strategies within regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish partnership targets and measurement metrics.
  • Manage, develop, coach, and motivate regional sales force and distributors.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates and distributors throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with HQ to prepare technical and commercial offers for customers and distributors.
  • Support local marketing activities (presentations, project discussions, negotiations).
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs.
  • Maintain CRM system for all sales activities and update project pipeline regularly.
  • Assess and manage current business distribution channels.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with the organization's code of conduct.
  • Communicate with HQ (Germany & US) for pricing and technical updates.
  • Align product knowledge, market information, project pipeline, and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct or coordinate site surveys as needed.
  • Review and confirm orders, initiate order execution process, and supervise completion.

     

To be successful as a sales manager, lead by example, set clear goals, develop your team, foster a positive culture, use data-driven insights, communicate effectively, adapt to change, prioritize customer relationships, stay organized, and continuously improve.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering or relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant sales management experience directly related to the specified duties. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with leadership qualities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work effectively within a team.
  • Prior experience in process analytical technology and solutions (preferred).
