OVERVIEW
A Japanese food trading company is recruiting for a sales position to handle fresh food distribution to restaurants and hotels in Singapore. This company collaborates with over 100 clients, including Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels. By sourcing fresh Japanese ingredients and supplying them to Singaporean businesses, the company aims to share the allure of Japanese cuisine globally.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fresh seafood, vegetables, and fruits are airfreighted four times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) from Tokyo and Fukuoka and sold to restaurants and hotels.
Sales Strategy Planning
Negotiations with Japanese suppliers and intermediary companies for product procurement.
Preparation of quotations and issuance of invoices for customers.
Delivery Coordination
Inventory Management, among other tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in Japanese (necessary for communication with clients and the Japanese market).
Experience in new business development and follow-up sales for existing clients.
Preference given to candidates with experience as suppliers, in sales, the food and beverage industry, or as chefs. Candidates without industry experience will also be considered.
Highly motivated individuals with a strong desire for growth.
Proactive and adaptable individuals who can act with flexibility.
