About the Process Lead (wastewater) Role:
As a Process Specialist (Wastewater), you will play a pivotal role in designing and analyzing municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of these systems. You will possess a deep understanding of wastewater treatment technologies and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on process design, modeling, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed designs for wastewater treatment plants, including screening equipment, physical-chemical treatment plants, biological treatment plants, blower equipment, odor control plants, disinfection plants, and sludge treatment plants
Design ancillary systems such as chemical feed systems, mechanical ventilation systems, and drainage systems
Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs),
General Arrangements, and equipment layout drawingsDevelop specifications for wastewater process
equipment and review vendor submissions
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, building services, instrumentation & control, and digital water specialists) to ensure integrated project delivery
Lead meetings, HAZOP studies, and discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors
Provide engineering support for bids and proposals, and prepare testing and commissioning plans
Lead and guide a team of process engineers, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their designs
Stay updated on the latest advancements in wastewater treatment technology and sludge management practices

Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience in process design for water and wastewater treatment
Expertise in water and wastewater treatment process modeling and optimization, including biological treatment
Proficiency in wastewater modeling software such as BioWin, GPS-X, SUMO, or others
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes like Activated Sludge, SBR, MBR, MABR, MBBR, and IFAS
Experience in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and specifications for wastewater process equipment procurement
Proven ability to manage large-scale water projects effectively, prioritize tasks, and utilize available resources
Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities
